An altercation on Holi in Uttam Nagar became deadly when Tarun, a local resident, died after a neighborhood fight. Jai Bhagwan Goyal of the United Hindu Front visited the victim's family seeking justice.
The dispute arose after a water balloon from Tarun's family splashed a neighbor, leading to escalating tensions. Authorities had mentioned that the families frequently clashed over issues like parking and waste management.
The police arrested six adults and detained a minor, charging them with murder and under the SC/ST (Prevention of Atrocities) Act. The incident incited public unrest and led to significant damage, resulting in a substantial police presence to restore calm.
