In a dramatic turn of events, the Uttar Pradesh Police recovered 3.678 kg of gold following an intense encounter in the Ahraura area, resulting in the arrest of four individuals linked to a jewel heist in Chhattisgarh's Bilaspur.
The operation, which took place between 4-5 am, saw two suspects sustaining leg injuries. Identified as Vijay Lamba of East Delhi and Monu of Gautam Buddh Nagar, they were apprehended along with Vinod Prajapati of Kota and Karim Khan of Bareilly.
Police recovered rings, lockets, and other jewelry, along with firearms, cartridges, and Rs 1,46,100 in cash. The incident had significant assistance from the Chhattisgarh Police, and the accused are now in judicial custody.
