Enhancing Public Safety: Doda District's New Emergency Response Vehicles
Jammu and Kashmir police have introduced six ERSS Dial-112 emergency vehicles in Doda district to boost public safety and emergency response. Aimed at reducing response time, these vehicles, managed by trained personnel, will ensure prompt action during emergencies and encourage responsible use of the helpline.

In a significant move to enhance public safety, the Jammu and Kashmir police launched six new emergency response vehicles in Doda district. Deployed as part of the Emergency Response Support System (ERSS) Dial-112 initiative, these vehicles are aimed at providing swift action during emergencies.
Senior Superintendent of Police Sandeep Mehta introduced the vehicles, emphasizing their role in ensuring quick, efficient responses to various emergencies and crimes. Each police station in Doda now has a dedicated vehicle to expedite on-ground policing.
Trained officers equipped with essential communication tools will man the vehicles. Authorities caution against misuse of the Dial-112 service, noting that prank calls could result in legal repercussions. This initiative underscores the police's 'people first' approach and commitment to public trust and safety.
