The UK government has accused Russia of deploying a lethal toxin in the alleged murder of Russian dissident Alexei Navalny. This revelation came after comprehensive laboratory tests, revealing the presence of epibatidine, a potent toxin found in Ecuador dart frogs, in Navalny's body.

Sparks flew at the Munich Security Conference as UK Foreign Secretary Yvette Cooper announced the accusations. Cooper emphasized that the Russian government had the 'means, motive, and opportunity' to carry out this act, highlighting the Kremlin's fear of political dissent.

The Foreign, Commonwealth and Development Office underscored that the chemical is not native to Russia, dismissing any innocent explanation for its discovery in Navalny's remains. The UK's findings were achieved in collaboration with allies in Europe, reinforcing the call for accountability.
