Mahashivratri: A Spiritual Confluence Across Uttar Pradesh
Devotees flocked to Shiva temples across Uttar Pradesh for Mahashivratri, with arrangements in place to manage large crowds. Rituals were conducted, and offerings came from across India and the world. Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath participated in the ceremonies, underscoring the festival's spiritual significance.

In a vibrant display of spirituality, devotees thronged Shiva temples across Uttar Pradesh on Mahashivratri. The festival, highlighting the divine union of Lord Shiva and Goddess Parvati, attracted visitors not only from across India but also from overseas.
Significant arrangements were made to accommodate the influx of worshippers at Kashi Vishwanath Dham in Varanasi, where between 10 to 15 lakh devotees are expected to offer prayers. CEO Bhushan Mishra noted a seamless setup for darshan, complete with medical teams and a 45-hour continuous opening of temple gates.
In other districts such as Mathura and Ayodhya, similar devotional fervor was evident as devotees gathered at renowned temples, including Mankameshwar and Rangeshwar Mahadev,where authorities ensured crowd management and surveillance through drones and CCTV. The festival reaffirms its global cultural and spiritual relevance.
