On Sunday, DGP B Shivadhar Reddy urged leaders and cadres of the underground CPI (Maoist) in Telangana to surrender and reintegrate into the mainstream. He assured immediate assistance and benefits under the state’s 'Surrender and Rehabilitation Scheme,' emphasizing the importance of peaceful solutions.
Reddy highlighted that the Telangana Police has already facilitated the reintegration of 588 Maoist leaders and cadres into normal life over the past two years. These individuals have successfully benefited from the rehabilitation policies and now live safely in their native villages, setting an example for their peers in other states.
The DGP reiterated an appeal by Chief Minister A Revanth Reddy, calling on top Maoist leaders to join mainstream society. The state government is committed to supporting their transition to a peaceful and dignified life with comprehensive aid, ensuring their freedom, respect, and safety.
