Tragic Dowry Death: A Young Woman's Fight in Palamu

A shocking case of alleged dowry murder has surfaced in Jharkhand's Palamu district, where a 22-year-old woman was brutally killed and her body set ablaze, according to police reports. The crime took place in Dalla village, within the jurisdiction of Pandu police station.
Authorities reported that the woman, originally from Sonbhadra in UP, was married just 11 months ago. Her father lodged a complaint alleging constant harassment and beatings over dowry demands, culminating in her tragic murder on February 13. Police have launched a full-scale investigation into the case.
Underlining the severity of the case, SDPO Vishrampur, Alok Kumar Tutti, disclosed that forensic teams recovered bones and other remains from a nearby forest. Currently, all suspects are at large, and the police have intensified their search to bring the perpetrators to justice.
