Life Sentences for Trio in Shocking Child Murder Case

In a harrowing case that has shaken the community, a special court has issued life sentences to three individuals, including two siblings, for the brutal murder of a six-year-old boy. The court proceedings took place on Friday, overseen by Special Judge Shripal Singh who delivered the verdict following comprehensive arguments from both the prosecution and the defense.
The convicted men, identified as Pappu Mali, his brother Sonu Mali, and an accomplice Bala Prasad Kushwaha, were found guilty of strangling the child before disposing of his body in a well. In addition to life imprisonment, the court has imposed a fine of Rs 18,000 on each defendant for their heinous crime.
This grisly incident occurred on November 11, 2020, in Banda's Kotwali area. According to the prosecution, the child's mother, Mamta, filed a First Information Report (FIR) the next day when her son, Karan alias Babu, failed to return home after leaving with one of the convicted on the prior evening.
