Union Minister of State for the Ministry of Development of North Eastern Region (MDoNER), Smt. Raksha Nikhil Khadse, chaired a comprehensive district-level review meeting in Hojai to assess the progress of Central Sector Schemes and Centrally Sponsored Schemes across key development sectors.
The review focused on health, education, agriculture, infrastructure, financial inclusion, skill development and basic service delivery, with an emphasis on strengthening last-mile delivery and accelerating inclusive growth in the district.
Ground-Level Assessment of Scheme Implementation
During the meeting, the Union MoS conducted a sector-wise performance review and interacted directly with district officials and stakeholders to understand on-ground challenges, implementation gaps and emerging opportunities.
She encouraged open dialogue, listened to concerns raised by field officers and department heads, and provided guidance to ensure smoother execution of projects. Assuring full support from the Government of India, Smt. Khadse emphasized the importance of timely resolution of bottlenecks that impact service delivery and development outcomes.

Highlighting key provisions of the Union Budget relevant to Assam and the wider North Eastern Region, the Minister noted that enhanced allocations and policy measures are aimed at strengthening infrastructure, promoting livelihoods, expanding financial inclusion and improving social sector outcomes.
She reiterated that the Northeast remains a priority in the Government's development agenda, with sustained focus on connectivity, economic empowerment and institutional strengthening.
Appreciation for District Administration
Smt. Khadse commended the Hojai district administration for efficient project execution, timely completion of works and achievement of targets under various schemes. She encouraged officials to maintain momentum and adopt best practices to further enhance performance indicators.
The review meeting was attended by the District Commissioner of Hojai, Shri Bidyut Bilash Bhagwati, along with senior officials from the district administration and line departments.
