A notorious gangster was apprehended in Peerawali village following a brief yet intense gunfight with the police, authorities reported on Saturday. The accused, identified as Pawan alias Musa, sustained a gunshot wound to his leg during the altercation.
Acting swiftly on a tip, law enforcement conducted a targeted raid on Friday night. In a show of defiance, Pawan initiated gunfire against the police, striking the bulletproof jackets of two officers.
The police retaliated, resulting in Pawan's injury. Known for his criminal background, Pawan has over 25 cases across Hisar and other regions. The police successfully confiscated the weapon he used during the incident.
