In a poignant remembrance, Vice President C P Radhakrishnan reflected on the tragic 1998 Coimbatore serial bomb blasts, describing them as a 'dark and painful' chapter in the nation's history. The tragic events, occurring during a visit by L K Advani, left deep scars on many families.

Union Minister of State for Information and Broadcasting L Murugan paid homage, calling it the 'black day' of Coimbatore and extending condolences to the victims' families and survivors. The incident, targeting multiple locations, resulted in 58 deaths and over 200 injuries.

BJP leaders, including Nainar Nagenthran and K Annamalai, called for a united stance against terrorism and urged remembrance to prevent future atrocities fueled by religious discord. The case remains under investigation by the National Investigation Agency.
