Authorities in Perundurai have apprehended four Bangladesh nationals for unauthorized entry into India. The arrests occurred during a joint operation by local and Q Branch police at Panikkampalayam on Tuesday evening. The individuals were questioned after suspicious activity was noted following their work at a nearby private textile firm.
During the checks, police discovered the four individuals lacked passports and visas. They confessed to being from Bangladesh and described how they arrived in the Perundurai area. Their employment at the textile firm was allegedly arranged by unnamed brokers, complicating matters further.
Following the confession, law enforcement has arrested the men, filed charges, and detained them at Salem Central Prison. Ongoing investigations aim to uncover the network of brokers possibly facilitating illegal employment and entry.
