In a significant development, two individuals previously arrested for allegedly tampering with evidence in the murder of Indore businessman Raja Raghuvanshi in Meghalaya have been excluded from the latest chargesheet, according to police officials. East Khasi Hills Superintendent of Police, Vivek Syiem, confirmed that Balbir Ahirbar and Lokendra Singh Tomar were initially detained over suspicions of destroying evidence related to the case.
The comprehensive investigation, however, did not substantiate these claims, leading to their names being omitted from the fresh chargesheet. Currently, both Ahirbar and Tomar are out on bail. Shedding light on the matter, Syiem stated, "The final report found that they had no role whatsoever, which led to their dismissal in the case."
Meanwhile, the court case continues to draw attention, with the prime accused, Sonam Raghuvanshi, still in judicial custody after her bail plea was recently declined. Investigations revealed motives potentially involving a love triangle and financial disputes, with police suggesting Sonam plotted the murder during what appeared to be a honeymoon trip.
