Gurugram Boosts Safety: New Police Stations and Community Facilities Announced
Gurugram is set to enhance its security with six new police stations, including cyber units. Additionally, a facility for the elderly and sports amenities for police will be developed. In a bid to bolster Gurugram's security infrastructure, six new police stations, including two specifically focused on cybercrime, are on the cards, as announced by local authorities on Tuesday. This decision emerged from a recent high-level meeting spearheaded by Police Commissioner Vikas Kumar Arora.
The meeting, which convened various law enforcement officials, highlighted plans to expand basic facilities for the city's police personnel and their families and to address the evolving nature of crime linked to urbanisation.
In addition to the new stations, a rest facility named Yogeshwar Vatika will be developed for the elderly, alongside sports amenities for officers. These developments aim to bolster efficiency and quality of life for Gurugram's police force.
