The Amritsar Police have successfully dismantled a suspected arms smuggling network with the arrest of three individuals and the seizure of advanced firearms, according to Punjab Director General of Police Gaurav Yadav. Among the confiscated weapons are several high-end pistols sourced from international manufacturers.
Investigations suggest that the suspects maintained direct connections with a Pakistan-based smuggler operating through social media. This handler was instrumental in dispatching illegal arms shipments via drones. The arrested individuals allegedly facilitated the delivery of these arms to predetermined recipients.
The suspects, Resham Singh, Vishal Kumar, and Sumit, were arrested following a strategic operation based on detailed intelligence. Punjab authorities are continuing their investigation to map the broader network of this smuggling ring.
