Punjab Chief Minister Defends Alleged Remarks at Akal Takht

Punjab Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann appeared before the Akal Takht secretariat on Thursday following a summons by the Sikh religious authority over alleged comments concerning Sikh traditions.

Prior to attending, Mann offered prayers at the Golden Temple and later clarified his position to the acting Jathedar, Giani Kuldeep Singh Gargaj. Mann asserted that accusations based on circulating social media videos were unfounded, alleging that the footage was fake or AI-generated and open to forensic scrutiny.

The allegations relate to remarks regarding 'Guru ki Golak' and purported disrespectful actions involving images of Sikh Gurus and Jarnail Singh Bhindranwale. Mann emphasized his respect for the Akal Takht, vowing to follow any directive issued by the religious body.
