A dispute between two groups of villagers in Maudaha turned deadly on Wednesday, resulting in the death of a 20-year-old man. According to police reports, Ravi, son of Kalideen from Jaspura village, was killed following a violent altercation.
The altercation occurred in Parcha village when Ravi had returned to his native place for an unspecified task. A confrontation with Pintu, son of Maiku, and his family members escalated into violence, leaving both Ravi and Pintu gravely injured.
Authorities responded promptly, transporting the injured to Maudaha's Community Health Centre. Medical personnel declared Ravi dead on arrival, while Pintu was transferred to Hamirpur district hospital for critical care. The police have launched a thorough investigation into the circumstances surrounding the incident.
