In a recent political confrontation, Karnataka Legislative Assembly Speaker UT Khader has firmly dismissed corruption allegations against him as baseless and politically motivated. He further challenged BJP leaders to provide their claims in writing for further examination.

BJP MP Vishweshwar Hegde Kageri has called for a judicial inquiry into these allegations, suggesting to bring the office of the Speaker under the Right to Information Act for greater transparency. Additional allegations were leveled by Leader of Opposition Chalavadi Narayanaswamy, and BJP MLA Y Bharath Shetty.

Maintaining his stance on development and transparency, Khader invited those with accusations to meet him or submit written claims at Vidhana Soudha. He welcomed the suggestion to include the Speaker's office under the RTI Act, and expressed openness to an investigation if warranted, insisting that allegations should be formally documented.
