The Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) has filed a new case against Punjab Police Deputy Inspector General (DIG) Harcharan Singh Bhullar, accusing him of amassing disproportionate assets. This comes after Bhullar's arrest on suspicion of accepting an Rs 8 lakh bribe from a scrap dealer for personal gain.
Upon his arrest on October 16, authorities discovered Rs 7.5 crore in cash and 2.5 kilograms of gold jewelry. Among the loot were 26 luxury watches from elite brands like Rolex and Rado, documents linked to over 50 properties believed to be held under family and benami names, multiple bank account details, four firearms, and 100 live cartridges.
