In a striking display of law enforcement's zero-tolerance for crime, police in Rajasthan's Pali district paraded three men accused in a murder case to the local court on Tuesday. The men, arrested for allegedly stabbing Jitendra Meghwal, were marched handcuffed with a drummer leading the procession.
Jitendra Meghwal, 32, was attacked on October 24 in Ambedkar Nagar and succumbed to his injuries on October 26 in Jodhpur. Pali SP Adarsh Sidhu confirmed the arrest of three suspects, with a fourth, Bajrang, still at large. Efforts to apprehend the absconding suspect are underway.
SP Sidhu emphasized the parade served as a robust warning to criminal elements about the stern consequences of unlawful activities. Public reaction to the parade indicated strong support for the police's decisive measures, as authorities also plan to seize the illicit properties of those involved.
