Scandal in Uniform: Corruption in Uttar Pradesh Police
A police sub-inspector in Uttar Pradesh was suspended after a leaked video showed him accepting a bribe. Identified as Amit Prasad, the officer in charge of Kaboh Kathara police outpost, was caught taking Rs 5,000. Authorities have launched an inquiry into this corruption case.

A sub-inspector of the Uttar Pradesh Police has been suspended following the emergence of a video showing him accepting a bribe, an official confirmed on Tuesday.
The video, which surfaced online and gained widespread attention on social media, shows Sub-Inspector Amit Prasad receiving a bribe of Rs 5,000 from an individual. Upon investigation, it was confirmed that Prasad, who oversees the Kaboh Kathara police outpost under the Mandi police station, was the officer in the footage.
In response to the incident, Saharanpur Senior Superintendent of Police Ashish Tiwari has suspended Prasad with immediate effect and initiated a departmental inquiry to further investigate the allegations, according to Vyom Bindal, Superintendent of Police (City).
