Prime Minister Starmer emphasized the cooperation's broad impact, noting its benefits to NATO security and the bolstering of economic ties, securing 20,000 UK jobs in the process. Turkish President Erdogan celebrated the deal as a testament to the robust partnership between the two countries.
This arrangement forms part of a broader strategy, with Turkiye also pursuing additional jets from Qatar and Oman, and potential participation in the US F-35 program, demonstrating its growing interest in modernizing its air force amidst ongoing regional tensions.
