A solemn gathering took place in Kyiv, with approximately 100 attendees commemorating two Ukrainian journalists tragically killed in the line of duty. War correspondent Olena Hubanova, known by the pseudonym Alyona Gramova, along with cameraman Yevhen Karmazin, lost their lives when a Russian drone targeted their vehicle.
The fatal incident occurred in Kramatorsk, about 20 kilometers from the front lines, showcasing the expanding peril for journalists in regions where Russian forces are active. This attack reflects a broader pattern; earlier, French photojournalist Antoni Lallican and Ukrainian reporter Grigoriy Ivanchenko were wounded in similar strikes.
As reported by the state-run FreeDom TV channel and regional authorities, both Gramova and Karmazin were dedicated to unveiling the truth about the conflict.
