Infamous gangster Jagdeep Singh, alias Jagga, who was wanted in numerous criminal cases across Rajasthan and Punjab, was apprehended in the United States, officials announced on Monday.

Jagga, associated with the Lawrence Bishnoi gang and linked to the Rohit Godara network, was captured near the US-Canada border. Indian authorities are actively working through the legal processes required for his extradition to India. The operation was a result of the coordinated efforts of the Rajasthan Police's Anti-Gangster Task Force (AGTF) with international enforcement bodies. Officials described Jagga as a resident of Moga district's Dhurokot village in Punjab, orchestrating criminal enterprises from abroad while successfully evading capture for years.

According to Dinesh M.N., Additional Director General of the AGTF, Jagga had outstanding arrest warrants issued by Rajasthan courts. The AGTF diligently tracked his international movements, leading US enforcement agencies to detain him near the Canada-US border. He is currently held in the US as extradition procedures proceed, added the official.
