Shiv Sena (UBT) chief Aaditya Thackeray has raised serious concerns over what he sees as 'fraud' in the voter lists in his Worli constituency. Addressing party workers, Thackeray spoke about mismatched details in the lists, including errors in names, photographs, and even gender identification.
Thackeray emphasized to party workers that this issue is not merely an error but a deliberate act of fraud. He highlighted that the 'battle will begin' when the parties receive the draft electoral rolls and urged for a meticulous review of voter lists in every ward ahead of the critical Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation elections.
Citing various anomalies, Thackeray mentioned a deceased voter whose details reappeared with a new EPIC number, and pointed out that numerous voters had identical father and voter names. He claimed errors were found in the gender specification and EPIC numbers, adding instances of missing photographs and use of languages other than English and Marathi.
