Govind Gupta, the newly-appointed director general of Rajasthan's Anti-Corruption Bureau (ACB), announced on Monday that his primary goal will be to strengthen public trust in the agency.
Upon taking charge at the ACB's Jhalana Dungri headquarters, Gupta declared plans to enhance information systems and boost public awareness against corruption. He identified transparency, swift action, and teamwork as the bureau's key strengths. Gupta assured that the ACB will adhere to the state government’s zero-tolerance policy towards corruption and mentioned that the bureau's toll-free helpline and WhatsApp number will be extensively publicized to facilitate the registration of complaints about corruption.
Gupta emphasized ensuring justice is served without implicating innocent individuals, promising prompt and strict action against those involved in corrupt activities. He urged public participation in the anti-corruption initiative by using the ACB helpline and WhatsApp number, which will be available 24/7. Additional Director General Smita Srivastava greeted Gupta with a bouquet, and a guard of honor was presented in the presence of senior ACB officers and staff.
