In a bid to preserve election integrity, the Election Commission has issued a stern advisory warning political parties in Bihar against using Artificial Intelligence (AI) to spread misinformation during upcoming assembly polls.
The advisory follows multiple complaints about rivals misusing AI to create deceptive content, aiming to influence voters by passing off fabricated materials as genuine.
The Commission reiterated existing guidelines, mandating clear labelling of AI-generated content and urging quick removal of such materials from official channels within three hours. Parties must also maintain detailed records of AI-generated content for potential scrutiny.
