A tragic incident unfolded at a railway station in northern Ukraine's Ovruch, where a man detonated an explosive device during a routine document check by border guards.
The explosion claimed the lives of the bomber and three women, aged 29, 58, and 82, and injured 12 others, included a border guard.
The bomber, identified as a 23-year-old Kharkiv resident, had previously been detained for attempting to cross the border, but was not linked to Ukraine's ongoing conflict with Russia.
