Major Drug Trafficking Racket Busted in Hyderabad
A drug trafficking network transporting ganja from Odisha to Maharashtra was dismantled in Hyderabad with the seizure of 908.41 kg of the substance, valued at Rs 2.7 crore. Three individuals were arrested, and the police continue their investigation to capture additional members involved in the syndicate.

Hyderabad police dismantled a significant interstate drug trafficking operation, intercepting a lorry carrying 908.41 kg of ganja valued at Rs 2.7 crore. The contraband was en route from Malkangiri, Odisha to Nashik, Maharashtra, via Hyderabad.
The seizure occurred on October 22 at Bandlaguda, leading to the arrest of three individuals, including the vehicle driver. The arrested suspects confessed to being associates of a primary transporter, acting under his orders to deliver the load to its destination in Maharashtra.
Originating from the forest areas of Kalimela in Odisha, the ganja was meant for widespread distribution in Maharashtra. Police efforts are ongoing to track down additional syndicate members and map out the drug supply chain spanning Odisha, Andhra Pradesh, and Maharashtra.
