Teenage Girl Molested by Former Hospital Staffer in Kolkata

In a distressing incident at SSKM Hospital in Kolkata, a teenage girl was allegedly molested by a former hospital employee, raising serious concerns about safety in healthcare facilities. The accused, identified as Amit Mallick, was a former ward boy at the government-run hospital.

According to a senior police officer, the Bhowanipore police received information about the incident, which involved molestation while the girl was waiting for a doctor at the outpatient department. An FIR was registered under the POCSO Act based on the victim's statement, leading to Mallick's arrest on Wednesday night in Dhapa.
