Christopher P Moynihan, a man once pardoned by former President Donald Trump for his role in the January 6 Capitol riot, has found himself in legal trouble once again. This time, he faces a felony charge for making a terroristic threat against House Minority Leader Hakeem Jeffries.
According to a report by a state police investigator, Moynihan sent a text message stating his intent to harm Jeffries, referencing an upcoming speech the congressman was scheduled to deliver in New York City. Moynihan's arrest followed an FBI task force alert, and he has been arraigned in New York's Dutchess County.
Hakeem Jeffries expressed his gratitude to law enforcement for their swift action, emphasizing the ongoing risk posed by individuals who were pardoned. Moynihan, who was previously convicted for his actions during the Capitol riot, is due back in court later this week as the district attorney's office reviews his case.
