In a dramatic turn of events in Jharkhand's Simdega district, police have arrested 11 individuals in connection with an alleged assault on both a police outpost officer and a dhaba owner. The incident unfolded late Monday night on the celebration of Diwali.

Information reached Bansjor police outpost at around 11:55 pm, revealing a robbery and assault happening at a local eatery in Tagra village. Upon arrival, Officer Vinay Kumar and his team were met with a chaotic scene of 30-35 individuals attacking dhaba proprietor Sukhjinder Singh and staff member Paragat Singh. The police were also attacked when they intervened.

Additional forces were swiftly dispatched, leading to the rescue of the besieged officer and dhaba owner. An FIR has been filed against 30-40 individuals involved in the incident, as police conducted raids leading to the apprehension of 11 suspects. The dhaba owner cited conflict arising from attempts to gamble and drink alcohol, escalating to violence.
