Tragic Discovery: Teen Found Dead in Paddy Field Fuels Murder Investigation

A tragic Diwali night in Uttar Pradesh's Etah district saw the discovery of a teenage boy found dead in a paddy field, local police reported on Tuesday.
The victim, Pintu alias Devraj, only 16 years old, resided in Jinawali village in the Awagarh police jurisdiction. His semi-naked body was discovered by villagers early Tuesday morning, raising alarms and concerns of foul play. Family members reported that Pintu left his home late on Monday but did not return.
Police investigations revealed a rope around his neck and his trousers tied around his legs, coupled with visible injury marks, leading to suspicions of murder. Senior officers, along with forensic and dog squad teams, gathered evidence and questioned locals. A post-mortem examination is pending to determine the cause of death, with an active investigation currently underway.
