Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath has underscored the pivotal role of expressways in driving the state's economic and industrial future. During a review of the Uttar Pradesh Expressways Industrial Development Authority (UPEIDA), he stressed they form the backbone of the economy, not just roadways.
Adityanath called for the acceleration of the Ganga Expressway's construction, insisting it be completed by December to bolster connectivity between western and eastern regions. An official statement noted plans for extending the expressway network to enhance statewide road infrastructure.
In further developments, the chief minister highlighted the need for skill development centers along the defense industrial corridor and reinforced policies to stimulate investment and land utilization accountability, with significant interest already shown by investors.
