Prime Minister Narendra Modi, while speaking aboard INS Vikrant, praised the exceptional coordination of India's military forces during Operation Sindoor that led to Pakistan’s surrender. He highlighted this as a testament to the armed forces' capability and India's dedication to self-reliance.
Modi lauded the security forces' bravery, crediting them with significantly reducing Maoist terrorism across the nation, from 125 affected districts to just 11. He emphasized that India is on the brink of complete freedom from this violence, expressing confidence in the police forces' ability to eradicate the menace.
The Prime Minister further outlined India's defense aspirations, noting the construction of over 40 warships and submarines since 2014 and highlighting the widespread interest in BrahMos missiles. He spent Diwali on board, marking the occasion with navy personnel.
