In a significant diplomatic event at Rashtrapati Bhavan, President Droupadi Murmu accepted credentials from envoys representing four nations: the Lao People's Democratic Republic, the Democratic Republic of the Congo, the Republic of Namibia, and the Republic of Guinea-Bissau. These presentations officially mark the envoys' roles in fostering relations between their countries and India.

Earlier in the week, President Murmu received South Korean President Lee Jae Myung for his inaugural visit to India. The President commended President Myung for his efforts in reinforcing India-Korea bilateral ties, notably through his leadership of the Korea-India Parliamentary Friendship Group. His visit underlines his commitment to enhancing these diplomatic relationships.

Discussions between the leaders emphasized strengthening cooperation across sectors, including trade, education, and technology. Both sides expressed intent to resume talks on the Comprehensive Economic Partnership Agreement. With shared values and ambitions, India and Korea aim to merge their strengths for greater youth opportunities and innovation in green technologies.
