US President Donald Trump asserted his capability for a quick victory in past and present conflicts during a Tuesday interview, linking historical wars to the ongoing standoff with Iran. Trump, appearing on CNBC's 'Squawk Box', claimed he could have ended the Vietnam War swiftly if in office then, as he draws parallels with efforts in West Asia.

Trump referenced various military durations: 'World War I, four years and three months; World War II, six years; Korean War, three years; Vietnam, 19 years; Iraq, eight years; and in Iran, I'm five months,' showcasing his strategy’s effectiveness. Vietnam, a Cold War battleground, saw the US embroiled till 1973 for curbing communism. The conflict cost over 58,000 American and 2 million Vietnamese lives before US withdrawal.
