The Indian Navy's sail training ship, INS Sudarshini, recently concluded a successful port call at Casablanca, Morocco, aimed at bolstering maritime cooperation between India and Morocco. The visit, which wrapped up on April 18, is part of the broader Lokayan 26 initiative designed to enhance international naval partnerships.
During this strategic stop, the Commanding Officer of INS Sudarshini engaged in high-level discussions with Moroccan naval leaders, focusing on training exchanges and maritime cooperation. Indian Navy trainees interacted with cadets from the Royal Moroccan Naval School through joint activities, highlighting a shared commitment to fostering bilateral maritime relationships.
Diplomatic ties were further strengthened through events like an onboard reception hosted by INS Sudarshini and a luncheon by the Royal Moroccan Navy. The Ministry of Defence noted that the visit reaffirms the growing maritime ties between the nations, fueled by shared interests and strategic goals. As the ship sails onward to Las Palmas, Spain, it carries forward the message of 'Vasudhaiva Kutumbakam' — the world is one family.
