In an emblematic demonstration of 'Make in India' success, Samsung Electronics Executive Chairman Lee Jae-yong snapped a viral selfie with Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi and South Korean President Lee Jae-myung during a state luncheon. This symbolic gesture took place at Hyderabad House, following a bilateral summit unveiling a $50 billion trade and technology partnership roadmap.

The selfie, featuring Samsung's latest Galaxy Z Flip7, was more than a casual click. It highlighted Samsung's industrial might and underscored its local manufacturing commitment. The Galaxy Z Flip7, crafted at the Noida plant, symbolizes Samsung's cutting-edge foldable technology and integration into the Indian market.

The Noida plant, operational since 1996, holds the title of the world's largest single-roof mobile phone factory, producing 120 million units annually. It embodies the essence of the Indian government's Make in India initiative, evolving from an assembly hub to a manufacturing titan, catering to domestic and export needs. President Lee's state visit capped off with agreements upgrading economic ties and cooperation in technologies like AI and semiconductors.

Prime Minister Modi remarked on the significance of this collaboration in conveying global peace and stability. Samsung's R&D centers in Bengaluru and Noida are essential in global software and AI innovation, reinforcing 'Selfie Diplomacy' as a testament to South Korean tech's roots in Indian soil.
