The Indian Army Sailing Vessel (IASV) Triveni embarked on a pioneering journey as part of the 'Samudra Pradakshina', the world’s first Tri-Service All-Women Circumnavigation Expedition. On Monday, the vessel arrived in Fremantle, marking its inaugural overseas port visit.

Virtually flagged off from Mumbai by Defence Minister Rajnath Singh on September 11, the expedition is a testament to Nari Shakti, symbolizing the strength and unity of the Indian Army, Navy, and Air Force. Addressing the crew, Singh hailed this venture as a significant blend of spiritual discipline and operational determination that extends India’s vision of military diplomacy.

With nine women officers onboard, the specially built 50-foot IASV Triveni is set to traverse over 26,000 nautical miles, including navigating past the Three Great Capes. This remarkable voyage plans to underscore the leadership of women in uniform while enhancing India's maritime diplomacy capabilities across some of the planet's most perilous waters.
