The death toll from the catastrophic fire at SCB Medical College and Hospital has climbed to 11, officials reported after another patient succumbed to injuries on Tuesday.
The tragic incident on Monday saw ten patients lose their lives and left 11 others injured when a fire broke out in the trauma care ICU.
In response, a judicial panel and a fact-finding team have been tasked with probing the incident, which might have been caused by an electrical short circuit. State leaders and Prime Minister Narendra Modi have been briefed on the situation.
