Artificial Intelligence (AI) is emerging as a key player in transforming India's healthcare system, according to Dr. V K Paul of NITI Aayog. Speaking at the India AI Impact Summit 2026, Dr. Paul highlighted AI's potential to enhance healthcare services and achieve universal health coverage through evidence-based interventions.
During his address, Dr. Paul emphasized the benefits of integrating AI with India's digital health infrastructure, such as improved interoperability and resource allocation. Primary healthcare, early diagnosis, and robust policy formation stand to gain significantly from AI-driven advancements, he noted.
