Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskiy has welcomed the European Union's decision to unlock a massive €90 billion loan to Kyiv. This development, according to Zelenskiy, represents the right response given the current circumstances surrounding the conflict with Russia.
In a statement made on social media platform X, Zelenskiy stressed that the emergence of incentives for Russia to cease its war in Ukraine is contingent on sufficient support for Ukraine and pressure on Russia.
With the loan translating to approximately $106 billion, the move is seen as a significant gesture of solidarity and support to Ukraine in its time of need. The currency exchange rate stands at $1 equalling 0.8527 euros.
