A minor dispute over a new pair of shoes escalated to a fatal outcome in Uttar Pradesh's Maharajganj district. Suraj Sharma, 16, allegedly attacked his brother Laxman, 15, with scissors, resulting in Laxman's death.
The altercation occurred in Chaumukha Nauka Tola village under the Ghughli police station area. Police reported that the argument began over who would wear the online-purchased shoes first, and quickly turned violent.
Family members rushed the injured Laxman to a community health center, only for doctors to declare him dead upon arrival at the district hospital. Authorities, including Additional Superintendent of Police Siddharth Kumar, confirmed the brothers' ages and stated that legal proceedings are in progress.
