In a decisive move ahead of the Kerala Assembly elections, the Congress-led United Democratic Front (UDF) has rolled out a comprehensive manifesto on Thursday, promising significant social benefits and economic reforms.
Led by Opposition Leader VD Satheesan and supported by prominent UDF figures, the manifesto promises transformative measures, including free bus travel for women, a Rs 3,000 increment to welfare pensions, and monthly stipends for college-going female students. Additionally, families can look forward to a Rs 25 lakh insurance scheme.
With an eye on the upcoming elections set for April 9, the UDF has emphasized its commitment to creating a welfare-oriented, developed Kerala. Initiatives under the Nyuntam Aay Yojana (NYAY) Scheme will provide Rs 6,000 to impoverished families, ambitious agricultural support, and plans for housing, healthcare reform, education, and women's empowerment. Telangana CM Revanth Reddy threw his weight behind the manifesto, highlighting his own governance prowess.
