Gujarat Chief Minister Bhupendra Patel extended his greetings on Cheti Chand to the Sindhi community and initiated the Lord Jhulelal Jhulelal Shobha Yatra, as per an announcement from the Chief Minister's office.

The event in Naroda Patiya, organized by the Ahmedabad Municipal Corporation and the Cheti Chand Mahotsav Committee, saw the Chief Minister emphasizing Cheti Chand as a revered festival honoring Dariya Dev, aligning with the onset of Chaitra Navratri. Patel lauded the Sindhi community for its courage and resilience in commerce and other fields.

He praised their integration into Gujarat, underscoring their effort in preserving cultural heritage while contributing to the state, symbolizing 'Ek Bharat, Shreshtha Bharat.' He emphasized that such gatherings keep the youth connected to traditions. The CM also encouraged the community to support national initiatives like 'Catch the Rain' and 'Swachh Bharat.'

MLA Payal Kukrani acclaimed the Sindhi diaspora for their commitment to religion and culture, turning India into their home post-migration. Notable attendees included Minister of State for Urban Development Darshana Vaghela, Minister of State for Education Rivaba Jadeja, and several parliamentarians, underscoring the event's significance.
