The central government has assured the Bombay High Court that it is taking strategic steps to resolve the LPG shortage caused by the West Asian conflict. During a hearing on Tuesday, the Nagpur bench accepted the government's submission and dismissed a petition by LPG distributors.

The distributors had raised concerns about inadequate domestic gas supply amid the international energy crisis. The Centre's affidavit emphasized efforts on both domestic and international fronts to maintain a smooth distribution, highlighting that geopolitical changes are being closely monitored.

The court noted that the government is addressing the situation comprehensively, prioritizing domestic needs over exports, and advised state governments to manage local issues. Solicitor General Tushar Mehta assured diplomatic negotiations are underway to prevent the international crisis from impacting India.
