Kuwait Tanker Struck by Projectile Near Fujairah

An unexpected incident occurred when an unidentified projectile struck a Kuwait-flagged tanker 23 nautical miles east of Fujairah in the United Arab Emirates. The United Kingdom Maritime Trade Operations (UKMTO) reported minor structural damage to the tanker.

Fortunately, no crew injuries or environmental impact were reported. Sources suggest the hit vessel, identified as the liquefied petroleum tanker Gas Al Ahmadiah, was likely struck by fragments from an airborne interception while it was anchored.

The ship's operator, Kuwait Oil Tanker Company, has not yet provided any comments on the incident.
