New Lieutenant Governor of Delhi, Taranjit Singh Sandhu, met Union Home Minister Amit Shah on Wednesday to discuss significant public service and governance issues. In an online statement, Sandhu described the meeting with Shah as engaging, focusing on mutual interests related to governance.
Sandhu, speaking to ANI, prioritized Delhi’s development, emphasizing its role in competing globally with other capital cities. Stressing progress, he remarked, "Delhi is our capital, and we must compare and compete with capitals worldwide. Development remains the priority."
After his appointment, Sandhu conveyed his gratitude to Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Home Minister Shah, noting their trust and leadership as inspiring. His appointment comes amid extensive administrative shifts, with VK Saxena now serving as Ladakh LG, and several other key gubernatorial changes.
