Rajasthan Chief Minister Bhajanlal Sharma, in his address on International Women's Day, emphasized the pivotal role of women as the backbone of society and underscored the importance of empowering them through education, health, and self-reliance.
Speaking at a state-level event in Hanumangarh, Sharma outlined central government initiatives such as Swachh Bharat Mission, Ujjwala scheme, and Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana that have significantly strengthened women's positions by improving sanitation, energy access, and housing ownership.
Sharma also detailed state efforts, including creating over 16 lakh 'Lakhpati Didis' and supporting self-help groups, while unveiling development projects worth over Rs 1,000 crore. These efforts aim to ensure balanced regional development and further women's empowerment across Rajasthan.
